The inspiration behind Pressed By Via
My journey with nails began in 2019. Dealing with anxiety often led me to pick at my nails, and the only thing that truly helped was having them done. I started with a small salon, but when COVID-19 hit, I had to close for a while. During that time, I saw a huge demand for press-on nails, so I pivoted, closed my salon, and focused entirely on them.
Since moving to Canberra and starting my hairdressing apprenticeship, I've noticed a significant gap in the market. Many people, including military personnel, office workers, and nurses, can't wear nails for work but still love to have them done for special events. They often lack the time or budget for regular salon visits. This inspired me to reignite my passion for press-ons, offering a flexible and affordable solution for everyone to enjoy beautiful nails.
